Amid today’s unpredictable geopolitical conditions, Indonesia must continue building strategic partnerships with other nations. In this context, Danantara Indonesia was proud to join President Prabowo Subianto during his state visit to Japan.
During the visit, Indonesia and Japan signed ten agreements with a combined value of USD 22.6 billion. These partnerships strengthen economic ties between both countries while opening new opportunities in industry, energy, technology development, and technology transfer.
As part of the visit, Danantara Investment Management signed a cooperation agreement with JETRO. Together, we aim to promote investment in downstream industrialization, manufacturing, digital transformation, innovation, aviation, industrial development, and QRIS payment services.
In addition, Danantara Investment Management, SMBC Aviation Capital, and Mandiri Investment Management announced a collaboration to develop the Mandiri Aviation Leasing Fund. This initiative will become Indonesia’s first aviation financing investment platform, with an initial portfolio value of approximately USD 800 million.
Importantly, this partnership marks a major step for Indonesia in the global aviation financing ecosystem. By working alongside SMBC Aviation Capital and Mandiri Investment Management, Danantara Indonesia is investing in a world-class platform while strengthening the country’s long-term strategic capabilities.
We also extend our gratitude to Kartini Sjahrir for facilitating this visit. Going forward, we remain committed to strengthening diplomacy between Indonesia and Japan, including economic diplomacy, so that the benefits of this partnership can be felt by all Indonesians.
