Preparatory coordination meeting with the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) on July 29, 2026,
On July 29, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend the preparatory coordination meeting of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), where I shared the latest progress of Danantara Investment Management, particularly regarding our Waste-to-Energy (PSEL) initiatives.
Indonesia’s waste challenge has persisted for decades and requires coordinated, long-term solutions. I see PSEL as a strategic national initiative that can turn a waste management challenge into an opportunity for sustainable investment while also supporting Indonesia’s energy security.
Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025 provides a framework for an integrated PSEL model with tangible economic benefits. At Danantara Indonesia, our responsibility is to help ensure that these initiatives are implemented effectively, supported by sound governance and strong financial standards.
We recognize that addressing this challenge requires collaboration across institutions. The support and oversight of stakeholders, including BPK, are important in ensuring that PSEL projects are implemented with accountability, transparency, and the highest standards of governance.
I believe that through stronger institutional coordination and collaboration, we can move closer to turning Indonesia’s waste challenge into an opportunity to strengthen our energy resilience.
