Recently, I had the privilege of engaging with Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Inc., during his visit to Indonesia for the Starlink launch and the 10th World Water Forum. Our conversation explored the revolutionary impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesia, particularly in the education sector. AI can enhance accessibility and inclusivity across Indonesia.
As a nation with a large and growing population, Indonesia stands at a critical juncture in its development journey. To realize the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, which envisions the country as one of the world’s leading economies, embracing AI is not just an option but a necessity. We also discuss the Eurekai National AI Center, an ambitious initiative aimed at utilizing AI to transform Indonesia educational systems. By integrating AI into education, Indonesia can enhance their learning outcomes, tailor education to individual needs, and ensure that every Indonesian has the opportunity to reach their full potential, thereby contributing to the nation’s overall economic growth.
Other meaningful discussions revolve around critical issues such as environmental conservation, clean energy transition, advanced transportation solutions, and vital ESG commitments. Hopefully this will be the start of impactful changes and a brighter future for Indonesia.
